Term 2 Week 5
- Well done on everybody's effort and achievement in cross country last week - you should be proud of your successes. - I am away in Auckland at an Apple computer conference this week, so Mrs Henderson will be teaching Monday - Thursday and Mrs Collett will be in class on Friday. I know your behavior and attitude will be fantastic! 

Activity 1: Reading
- You are expected to read for at least 10 mins each night.
- Record your nightly reading in the back of your book.
- Remember to read a variety of genre (novels, newspapers, newsletters, internet articles etc)

Activity 2: Spelling
- Practice your spelling words each night for success.
- Do this for each of your spelling words: Copy the word - Read - Cover - Spell - Check if correct.


Activity 3: Dragon Maths - number revision
Book 4 page 7 
Book 5 page 7 


Activity 4: Poetry - Similes
Use your spelling words to write a smilie sentence for each spelling word. Be creative!
e.g. spelling word - budget. 'When I went shopping my budget was as small as a mouse so I could not buy a lot.'


Activity 5: PrEP
Collect any resources, prices, information etc that your PrEP group needs. There may not be a lot of PrEP time in class this week, so you will need to work with your group and decide what needs to be done so we can get stuck in next week.


Social Studies Fair people - you only need to complete Activity 1 & 2 AS WELL as gathering research for your projects. These are due on Friday 15 June - the end of Week 8
