Today at Winton School it has snowed on the Playground and has made the ground very very slippery. The cold Frosty snow covered the ground with its white feathery flakes as kids were going to Maths they were covered in thick snow! So be careful out there and make sure your not to fast across the slippery paths.

Sci Tec
Sci Tec
Sci Tec is a subject we do every Friday morning. Half the class go to Mr Willmot at wood work and the other half stay in room 10 and do science with Mrs Collet. Today the students in science were detecting about good pyjamas to have. To find out we set some materials on fire and we found out that wool doesn't burn easy. We also tested the absorbency and the hardest to rip and how the technique of materials are made.
Have a look at the photos:

SOUTHLAND CROSS COUNTRY
On the 15th of June Kyle Sinclair, Kaitlin Wilson, Charlotte Smith, Alana Cameron and I went to the southland cross country there was all the schools from southland there. In the ten year old boys there was about 96 people and up threw the ages there were getting more and more people in each race. On the day it was raining at the start then when it came to the races it stopped. That made the tracks really muddy . At least everyone was covered with mud when they crossed the finish line.

My Unicorn
My unicorn is a lovely snow white,
With a very massive appetite.
My unicorns eyes are mid night black,
And he never ever wants to attack.
On top of his head is a sharp horn,
When he is tired he lets out a long yawn.
My unicorn likes to prance,
Spin, Hop, Twirl and fall he thinks he can dance.

Aliens...
Aliens like to play in space,They're always up for a running race.Even though they're very green, When they see humans they want to scream.
When Aliens fly down from Mars, They're so hungry they want some chocolate bars.
Even though they're quite short, They're always up for a bit of sport.

PrEP Market Research action!!
Room's 9 & 10 did their Market Research on Thursday to see what potential customers thought of their products and services before they create them.
We had students from Rooms 1- 4 and 9 -11 shared their thoughts and ideas with us. This is a really important part of the PrEP process as we get to find out what items will sell and what we can set our prices at.
I was SO IMPRESSED with the quality of questions and the mature way Room 10 dealt with the whole experience!

Scaredy cat and Boo
Scaredy is a cat who is afraid of his own shadow. He thinks that there is a monster outside in the garden. One day his owners were away.Scaredy was felling afraid, there was a tap tap tap on the window so he hid under his blanket, thats was when he met a new freind called Boo. Scaredy cat told Boo about the monster outside. That was when Boo introduced Scaredy to the great outdoors. The cat flap was the door to exicting new things and builds a new found confidence in Scaredy cat and a wonderful friendship with a mouse.
I think I would rate 4/5 and I think people that would read this about from 6-7up.

Boy Tales of Child hood
By Roald Dahl
Boy, is a story about Roald Dahl's life growing up. When Roald Dahl was growing up he was quite a naughty boy. One of the naughty things that he did was put a dead mouse in a gobstopper jar in the sweet shop.
Being so naughty when he was growing up he got a bit hurt. Once he almost got his nose sliced right off his face from a car accident.
I think that 9 year olds and up could read this book. I also rate this book 4/5 because I find it quite funny.
