Mr Geoff Jukes
This week our main focus is too work on our speeches and try to get our draft done.On Friday we have got our Olympic day for the whole school, that means we have a country that we will dress up as and we are in groups and we vs other countries and get points, we have also got our school disco on Friday. Today we had Mr Geoff Jukes which has been in the Olympics for Clay target shooting team in 2000 in Sydney to get into the final he had to shot 125 targets but he missed two targets from going into the final.On Thursday we are having anther lesson for volleyball with Troy to teach us more skills.

TERM 3 Week 3
- Olympic Day on Friday - remember to bring your country colours to wear!
- Good luck to our BP Tech teams competing on Tuesday
- PE gear on Thursday for Volleyball

Activity 1: Reading
- You are expected to read for at least 10 mins each night.
- Record your nightly reading in the back of your book.
- Remember to read a variety of genre (novels, newspapers, newsletters, internet articles etc)

Activity 2: Spelling
- Learn your words for Friday's test
- Practice them each night for success!

Activity 3: Dragon Maths
Book 4 - 100 Line Graphs
Book 5 - 97 Median and Mode

Activity 4: Olympic Athlete Profile
- Complete your profile sheet 
- As well as including a photo - illustrate/decorate your sheet to reflect your athlete. We will present these in class on Friday (do not glue into your book)

Activity 5: Speeches
- Continue working on your speech at home.
- You should have at least your first draft done by Friday
- Get an adult at home to help you with the structure of your writing so it flows.

Friday , last day of week two.On Thursday we had volley-ball and we learnt all the basics of volley-ball , we also had the Stags come on tuesday , only I wasn't here that day so I can't tell you anything about it , only that it sounded AWESOME!!!we have been working on speeches nearly all week we are writing persuasive arguments for our speeches , we found that they are harder to write than normal speeches , well for me anyway.Oh before I forget it was maori language week but not much maori was spoken in our class this week.
